ASUS has announced that it has set aside $25,000 for a CS:GO tournament in Helsinki next month.
Following the success of the last ASUS ROG tournament, which was topped by Danish side myRevenge, the Taiwanese-based company has decided to up the ante and organise a new competition, this time with an increase prize pool of $25,000.
ASUS ROG Winter will take place under the wings of the upcoming Assembly event, from January 30-31, at Helsinki's Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The format will see the eight participants being split into two groups, with the top two sides advancing to the best-of-three semi-finals.
Teams can apply for an invitation to ASUS ROG Winter by filling out the event's application form. There will also be online qualifiers, whose details will be revealed shortly.
The $25,000 prize pool will be distributed among the top four teams as follows:
1. $12,000
2. $7,000
3. $4,000
4. $2,000
Meanwhile, it has been announced that HLTV.org's Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen has been hired as head admin of the CS:GO tournament and that the stream production will be handled by Black Molly Entertainment.
