Despite playing with a stand-in, SK Gaming managed to secure an easy victory against Finnish team Power Gaming, winning 16-3 on de_train.

SK Gaming travelled to Hangzhou without Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström, a result of the SK in-game leader being sick for weeks, using the free agent Marcus "Delpan" Larsson as stand-in for the event. Playing with a stand-in didn’t seem to affect the Swedes much, as they crossed Power Gaming 12-3 on the CT side and didn’t have any trouble securing four rounds as Terrorists.

The Swedes will in the next match face Natus Vincere, a match that is scheduled for Thursday at 12:00CET on de_train, while Power Gaming will face TyLoo on de_tuscan in the lower-bracket, a match scheduled to start 06:15CET.
